Our Journey Began in Uganda
Ailes Travel was born from a simple frustration: why was it so hard to find travel experiences that felt real? I grew up in Kampala, watching tour buses rush through my city treating it as a transit point to gorillas. I watched travelers experience Uganda's beauty but miss its soul.
So in 2020, I decided to create something different. Ailes Travel (named after the French word for "wings" — because travel should lift you) was founded on an ethos of intimate, culturally-rich experiences. We began with bespoke journeys in Uganda, hosting guests in carefully selected accommodations, working with expert local guides, and crafting itineraries that balanced wonder with rest, adventure with reflection.
